Unfortunately, poor people don’t really prepare for their day. They’ll wake up to either TV or social media. Rich people understand the first thing to do in the morning is to get power for the day. This is why they listen to or read inspirational books, meditate, or listen to inspiring music. According to a study, 63% of wealthy people listen to audiobooks during commute to work vs. 5% for poor people. This time is called “Hour of Power”. Your hour of power is the first hour of your day. You want to invest that hour to get the power for the day. You don’t want to go through the day with a unmotivated spirit.

The rich set daily goals for themselves. According to a study, 81% of wealthy people maintain a to-do list, but only 19% of poor people do this. This is true, you don’t want to just go through life busy. You want to know where you’re going. Some write a daily to-do list, while some read out their weekly goals. Setting daily goals will get you focused on what’s important. The reason why people waste time is because they don’t set goals.

The rich focus on few things. According to a study, 80% of wealthy people are focused on accomplishing some single goal. Think about it, you have 24 hours in a day out of which you’ll spend sleeping, resting, and doing some necessary, but unproductive things. Multi-tasking isn’t a strength, it’s a weakness. Sit down and decide what few things are important, and do the other things later.

The rich learn every day. According to a study, 86% of wealthy people believe in life-long education and self-improvement, while only 5% of poor people think this is correct. Educate yourself with material that will allow you to be rich and successful, you have to be curious and learn every day. Read books that educate you on how money works. Becoming successful isn’t easy, it requires discipline. Discipline is saying No to sweet or interesting things that don’t help you become a better person. For instance, poor people are constantly spending money on things they don’t need, just because they want to impress others or just want something new. Hanging out with friends who add no value to your life, and sitting down to gossip are some of the things you have to say No to if you want to become successful.

The rich do the hard things first. In the morning, you’re renewed and energized. This is why successful people spend this time on important things first. We all procrastinate from time to time, but make sure you do it on the little things. Don’t wake up in the morning to complete easy tasks. Focus on things that are difficult and important to your overall progress first thing in the morning. If you can eliminate social media and news in the morning, you can invest hours into important things that will help you succeed faster than other people.

The rich visualize success. Poor people may try new things, but they’ll be uncertain about what the results may be. As for the rich they visualize success daily. Because the rich always expect success, so they put more effort into getting it.

The rich avoid gambling. All over the world, one of the most popular activities is gambling, because poor people always expect luck. Luck is something that you shouldn’t expect. Luck is something you look for.
